About the Role:

We are hiring an experienced Backend Search Developer to advance the core of our e-commerce platform. You will join a dedicated search team responsible for creating robust, high-performance search services. Your work will focus on building scalable solutions that ensure users can quickly and accurately find the products and information they are looking for.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build scalable backend search services using Java, Spring Boot, and a microservices architecture.

Work extensively with search technologies like Elasticsearch to index product catalogs and deliver highly relevant search results.

Develop robust, high-performance APIs for our front-end applications.

Building new solutions from concept to deployment, directly impacting the user experience.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience working on search related projects.

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Strong programming skills in Java

Experience with the Spring Boot framework.

Hands-on experience with search platforms such as Elasticsearch or Solr.

A solid understanding of how to build and maintain microservices.

A genuine passion for solving complex problems and building great software.

Preferred Skills

Experience or a strong interest in Natural Language Processing (NLP).

Knowledge of building AI-enhanced search features like semantic search or recommendations.

Familiarity with search result reranking techniques or Learning to Rank (LTR).

Familiarity with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Experience with containerization tools like Kubernetes.

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins.
