Job Description:

Job Title: Java Backend developer (2-5 years) Chennai

Responsibilities 

Direct Responsibilities 

• Design and develop backend services using Java 8+, Spring boot & JUnit. 

• Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs. 

• Integrate with Oracle/MongoDB and ensure performance and security. 

• Ensure coding standards are followed  

• Ensure collaboration, good rapport & teamwork with ISPL and Paris team members 

Contributing Responsibilities 

• Take ownership and commit towards quality deliverables within estimated timelines, avoiding global schedule shift  

• Participate in code reviews and documentation process. 

• Contribute to continuous improvement in development practices processes and code quality. 

• Participation in projects meetings: fine-tuning, daily, retrospective. 

• Collaboration with the team members: the ability to collect, analyze, synthesize and present information in a clear, concise and precise way 

Technical & Behavioral Competencies 

• Expert in Java8+, Spring Boot 

• Expert in RESTful API, Microservices & Design patterns 

• Experience in Oracle/MongoDB 

• Junit and Spring boot testing frameworks and code quality tools like Sonar 

• Clean coding practices 

• Maven, Gitlab CI and swagger tools 

• Beginner/Intermediate in Angular 


• Knowledge in Docker, Kubernetes 

Specific Qualifications: 

• Knowledge in UML, DevOps, IntelliJ, Gitlab (Pipeline CI/CD), Cloud Object Storage, Kafka

Skills Referential (Required knowledge, skills and abilities) 

Technical Skills: 

• Java 8 and above 

• Springboot 

• Angular 14 and above 

• Oracle 

• MongoDB 

Behavioral Skills:  

• Ability to collaborate / Teamwork

• Communication skills - oral & written 

Education Level: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 

Experience Level: 2 to 5 years
