About the Role

Our client is one of India's largest consumer internet platforms, processing millions of transactions every day. You will join a backend team that owns core, high-traffic services and build Java microservices that stay fast and reliable under heavy concurrent load.

What You Will Do

• Design, build, and own backend microservices in Java and Spring Boot, from design doc to production


• Build for high throughput and low latency, with clear ownership of p99 latency and availability targets


• Work with Kafka or similar queues for event-driven flows, Redis for caching, and SQL plus NoSQL stores for persistence


• Own production health: monitoring, alerting, incident RCAs, and performance tuning


• Collaborate with product, mobile, and platform teams on API contracts and rollouts

Must Have

• 3 to 5 years of backend development in Java with strong, recent Spring Boot experience


• Built and owned production microservices yourself, not just worked in a codebase that had them


• Hands-on with at least two of: Kafka or similar queues, Redis or Memcached, Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch


• Concrete scale receipts: you can speak to QPS, events per day, p99 latency, and what you personally did to improve them


• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and distributed systems basics


• Product company background

• System design at scale: sharding, partitioning, rate limiting, idempotency, backpressure


• gRPC, CI/CD ownership, infra as code
