As part of our world-class engineering team, you will be working across front end (UI), back end (API/Java), Big Data, and Real-Time Bidding (RTB) systems to deliver high-performance, scalable products.
Role Overview
As an RTB Engineer, you will be a key contributor in building and scaling our RTB servers, integrating with top global exchanges, ensuring ultra-low latency performance, and continuously optimizing for business needs. This role demands strong AdTech domain knowledge, expertise in RTB protocols, and a passion for solving complex engineering problems.
Objectives
- Design and maintain scalable, efficient backend code with seamless third-party integrations.
- Build robust, high-performance, and resilient back-end systems for RTB and AdTech platforms.
- Manage integrations with leading SSP and DSP partners across the industry.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain RTB systems using Java and Spring Boot.
- Integrate with global ad exchanges via OpenRTB and other protocols.
- Conduct code and design reviews to ensure best practices and high-quality deliverables.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize RTB server performance (latency, throughput, GC tuning).
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
- Implement, manage, and monitor ad campaigns while troubleshooting technical issues.
- Work with large-scale datasets to identify optimization opportunities and improve system efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvements in reliability, scalability, and fault-tolerance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design.
- 3–5 years’ experience in digital advertising (display, video, mobile).
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with RTB systems.
- Deep understanding of OpenRTB protocol.
- Expertise in Java, Java EE/J2EE, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Hibernate, NIO, and microservice architectures.
- Strong debugging skills (memory leaks, thread starvation, heap/thread dumps).
- Understanding of Garbage Collection policies and JVM tuning.
- Experience with Kafka, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) is a plus.
- Knowledge of server-side scripting and performance profiling tools is desirable.
