Job Description - Java Lead

We are seeking an experienced Java Lead to drive backend development and lead technical initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong programming expertise, hands-on experience with cloud platforms, and the ability to guide teams in building scalable, high-performance applications. This role involves both technical leadership and active contribution to development, ensuring best practices and high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities
â¢ Lead and mentor development teams, ensuring high-quality code and timely delivery
â¢ Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and applications
â¢ Work with SQL databases for efficient data management and processing
â¢ Leverage GCP for application deployment, scaling, and performance optimization
â¢ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions
â¢ Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and system design principles
â¢ Participate in and drive code reviews to maintain code quality
â¢ Support development of ETL processes and data pipelines where required

Key Skills & Qualifications
â¢ Strong programming skills in at least one: Java, C++, or Python
â¢ Proficiency in SQL and database management
â¢ Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
â¢ Experience in leading teams and driving technical initiatives
â¢ Strong understanding of backend system design and development
â¢ Experience delivering production-grade applications
â¢ Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipelines (good to have)
â¢ Experience with version control systems and code review practices
â¢ Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
