Role Overview:

As a Java Systems Engineer at BU Consultants, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex Java-based applications for our clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and robust software solutions. You will also be responsible for identifying and resolving technical issues, ensuring the overall quality and performance of our applications, and providing technical support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications that meet client requirements

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business needs and translate them into technical requirements

- Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code following coding standards and best practices

- Identify and fix technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and conduct root cause analysis

- Ensure the overall quality, security, and performance of our applications

- Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to automate processes and improve system stability

- Provide technical guidance and support to clients and internal stakeholders

- Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and trends in Java development

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Java development

- Proficient in Java, J2EE, JDBC, RESTful web services, Spring Framework, and Hibernate

- Experience with database design, SQL, and NoSQL databases

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team environment

- Experience with AWS or other cloud services is a plus
