JDA Space planner

This role focuses on space planning and planogram execution to support effective retail merchandising strategies. You will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing planograms that align with category strategies, merchandising guidelines, and business goals. The position requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of space planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain visually effective planograms using space planning tools, primarily JDA
• Modify and update existing planograms based on assortment changes and business requirements
• Collaborate with category managers and key stakeholders to understand assortment strategies and space objectives
• Coordinate with onsite merchandising managers to gather project instructions and clarify requirements
• Adhere strictly to merchandising standards, space planning guidelines, and KPIs
• Create and edit planogram fixtures as per project specifications
• Load and manage assortment and product data within space planning applications
• Maintain and manage multiple planogram versions according to instructions
• Perform first-level quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Conduct planogram analysis to evaluate space utilization and performance
• Interpret and follow documented guidelines, decision trees, optimal layouts, and verbal instructions
• Use Excel and other Microsoft tools daily to track data, manage workflows, and monitor project status

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in space planning and planogram creation or modification
• Strong proficiency with JDA or similar planogramming tools
• Solid understanding of category management principles and space planning KPIs
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manage large datasets
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, along with Outlook and Word
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively
• A proactive mindset with a high sense of urgency and ownership
• Ability to work independently while consistently meeting deadlines and quality standards
