Jr Power System Studies

Role Summary

The Jr PSS Engineer – ETAP will support the execution of power system studies for industrial, utility, solar, and substation projects using ETAP software. The role includes developing ETAP models, performing engineering calculations, preparing technical reports, and assisting senior engineers in delivering high-quality power system studies while complying with ETPL's ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities

Power System Studies

• Build and validate ETAP models for industrial, solar, substation, and grid-connected electrical networks.
  
• Perform Load Flow Analysis using ETAP.
  
• Conduct Short Circuit Analysis.
  
• Perform Motor Starting Studies.
  
• Support Protection Coordination Studies and relay setting calculations.
  
• Prepare Arc Flash Hazard Analysis reports using IEEE 1584 methodology.
  
• Assist in preparing engineering study reports including calculations, result tables, and recommendations.
  

Data Collection & Documentation

• Collect electrical network data and equipment parameters.
  
• Gather utility fault level information for model development.
  
• Prepare reports using ETPL report templates.
  
• Maintain ETAP model revisions and study documentation.
  
• Ensure engineering documentation complies with ETPL quality procedures.
  

Learning & Development

• Complete the ETPL ETAP Skills Roadmap within six months.
  
• Participate in design review meetings.
  
• Work under the guidance of Senior and Principal Engineers.
  
• Develop technical competency in advanced power system studies.
  

Requirements

Education

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)
  
• M.E./M.Tech in Power Systems (Preferred)
  
• Fresh M.E./M.Tech candidates are encouraged to apply.
  

Experience

• 0–3 years of experience in Power System Studies.
  
• Freshers with strong academic knowledge of Power Systems may also apply.
  
• Experience using ETAP software will be an added advantage.
