About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Account Executive to join our finance team. This role is ideal for individuals with a foundational understanding of accounting principles who are eager to grow within a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The Junior Account Executive will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the invoice and reconciliation processes, and ensuring smooth coordination with internal teams and vendors.

You will work closely with senior accountants and finance managers, assisting in invoice processing, payment tracking, ledger maintenance, and basic financial analysis to support reporting and compliance. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Record Keeping

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accounting systems.
  • Assist in the entry of day-to-day financial transactions including bills, receipts, vouchers, and other documentation.
  • Ensure proper classification and documentation of all accounting entries.

Reconciliation

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliation processes.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, bank accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure consistency.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial records.

Invoice Processing

  • Manage the preparation and processing of purchase orders and vendor invoices.
  • Verify billing accuracy and ensure timely payments.
  • Coordinate with procurement and operations teams to resolve invoice or payment-related queries.

Communication and Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal departments to collect data, verify expenses, and ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Communicate with vendors and external partners regarding invoice and payment inquiries.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial documents for audits and compliance checks.

Financial Analysis and Reporting Support

  • Assist in compiling data for financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Support the finance team in analyzing expenses, cost trends, and budget variances.
  • Participate in internal review meetings and contribute to financial process improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance operations.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial documentation.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
  • Good command of MS Excel and experience working with spreadsheets.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience with ERP or finance systems.
  • Familiarity with GST, TDS, or other compliance-related matters (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Enthusiasm for learning and professional growth in finance/accounting roles.
