Junior AI/ML Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Junior AI/ML Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Azure OpenAI and Generative AI to develop, integrate, and optimize AI-powered applications. The ideal candidate should have practical experience building LLM-based solutions, integrating Azure AI services, and developing scalable AI applications using Python and modern GenAI frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Generative AI solutions using Azure OpenAI services and Large Language Models (LLMs).


• Build AI-powered applications using GPT models, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).


• Develop and integrate REST APIs for AI/ML applications.


• Work with vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search for knowledge-based applications.


• Implement document processing, conversational AI, chatbots, and intelligent automation solutions.


• Optimize LLM performance, response quality, latency, and token usage.


• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise applications, data sources, and Azure cloud services.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready AI solutions.


• Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of AI/ML applications.

Required Technical Skills

• Azure OpenAI Service – GPT models, deployments, API integration, and configuration.


• Generative AI & LLMs – Strong practical understanding of LLM-based application development.


• Python Programming – Hands-on experience developing AI applications and backend services.


• Prompt Engineering & RAG – Prompt design, embeddings, retrieval pipelines, and context management.


• LLM Frameworks – Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel.


• Vector Databases – Familiarity with Azure AI Search, FAISS, Pinecone, or similar technologies.


• REST APIs & Azure Services – Integrating AI models into applications and cloud environments.


• Git and Application Deployment – Version control, debugging, and basic deployment practices.

Good to Have

• Experience with Azure AI Foundry and Azure Machine Learning.


• Knowledge of AI agents, tool calling, and multi-agent workflows.


• Familiarity with Azure AI Search, Document Intelligence, and enterprise RAG solutions.


• Understanding of ML fundamentals, model evaluation, and responsible AI practices.


• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and monitoring AI applications.

Candidate Profile

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in AI/ML, Generative AI, or LLM application development.


• Strong hands-on expertise in Azure OpenAI and Generative AI.


• Demonstrated experience building practical AI solutions or proof-of-concept applications.


• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.


• Willingness to work onsite in Mumbai, five days a week.
