We are looking for a Junior Backend Developer to help us build the future of IoT and Technology.

The position is on a hybrid model, with a base in Mumbai.

You will be reporting to the Fullstack Lead of the company and be shaping up the entire system for scale. You’ll be collaborating intensively with Product Managers, Frontend & Backend Engineers, Design & Technical teams to create the best consumer experiences with the most delightful and scalable UI. You will work in a collaborative, transparent and highly delivery-driven environment with a strong focus on client satisfaction.

You will notably be asked to:

• Design and develop server-side applications using Node.js.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

• Build scalable and high-performance RESTful APIs.

• Optimize and maintain database connections, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.

• Implement security best practices to protect data and prevent security vulnerabilities.

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of server applications.

• Monitor server performance and make necessary optimizations to ensure optimal speed and efficiency.

• Maintain and enhance code quality by adhering to best practices, coding standards, and code reviews.

• Collaborate with DevOps and other teams to deploy applications and troubleshoot production issues.

• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve and innovate our backend solutions.

• You ideally are a developer with 2+ years of experience, else a young genius :)

• Strong proficiency with JavaScript (and understanding the nature of asynchronous programming)
• 1+ years of experience using Node.js and frameworks available for it such as ExpressJS etc.
• Practical experience in building APIs including developing caching strategies
• Deep Understanding of OAuth, REST and JSON concepts.
• Practical experience with Git, npm, yarn etc.
• Expert understanding of POSTMAN.
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Good understanding of server-side templating languages such as Pug, EJS, etc.
• 2+ years of experience with relational databases like MySQL, MSSQL, Postgres etc. (including schema design and writing efficient SQL Queries

You will have a strong advantage if you have experience with one or more imperative or functional programming languages such as Javascript, ES6 or Typescrip with a deep knowledge of Bootstrap and 1+ years of experience using React.JS

Salary

This position can offer, based on the candidate's experience and commitment to our hiring process, an annual package to the employee up to INR 8 Lakhs per annum.

According to his/her performance, the employee will also be offered significant Appraisals every year, regular Bonuses and Stock-Options of the company.

Headquarters

Our offices are located in the historical part of Mumbai, exactly 5 minutes walking-distance from CST Station, an incredibly beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site and 15 minutes walking-distance from Churchgate Station.

Our offices have large French windows with ample light coming inside and from which you can observe parrots and kites flying in the surrounding centenary trees.
