Job Description - Junior Business Development Executive

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 300000 - Rs 800000 (ie INR 3-8 LPA)

Min Experience: 2 years

Location: mumbai

JobType: full-time

We are looking for a Junior Business Development professional who is eager to contribute to growth initiatives and build strong fundamentals in B2B sales. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys engaging with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and learning how go-to-market strategies are executed in real-world environments.

You will work closely with senior sales leaders and cross-functional teams to support revenue growth, develop client relationships, and refine sales processes. Over time, you’ll take on increasing ownership across the sales cycle while building deep understanding of the product, market, and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support execution of sales strategies to achieve assigned revenue targets across mid-to-large organizations.
  • Identify and engage new business opportunities through outbound and inbound lead generation efforts.
  • Assist in sales discussions and product presentations with stakeholders across finance, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Learn to position fintech and SaaS solutions effectively to address customer challenges.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing customers to support renewals, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Research market trends, customer pain points, and competitor offerings to support opportunity identification.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to improve lead quality, conversion rates, and customer feedback loops.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or a customer-facing role.
  • Interest in fintech, SaaS, or technology-driven products.
  • Basic understanding of B2B sales cycles and pipeline management.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to learn sales processes, negotiation basics, and solution positioning.
  • Self-motivated with a sense of ownership and ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region, if required.
