Junior Facility Manager

We at FutureWorks are looking for an experienced Facility Manager. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and efficiency of our facilities. Your role involves managing a team of maintenance staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and implementing strategies to optimize facility operations. You will collaborate with various departments to meet organizational needs while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Facility Maintenance: Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs to ensure facilities are operational and safe.

2. Team Management: Lead a team of maintenance technicians, janitorial staff, and contractors, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective performance and adherence to safety protocols.

3. Budget Management: Develop and manage the facility budget, including forecasting expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and overseeing procurement of supplies and services.

4. Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

5. Security: Implement security protocols and procedures to safeguard facilities, equipment, and personnel, including monitoring access control systems and coordinating emergency response plans.

6. Space Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize facility layout and utilization, including workspace design, furniture procurement, and relocation projects.

7. Vendor Management: Evaluate and oversee contracts with external vendors, service providers, and suppliers to ensure quality services and cost-effectiveness.

8. Sustainability Initiatives: Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, reduce waste, and implement sustainable practices within the facilities.

9. Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, conduct drills, and provide training to staff to ensure readiness for emergencies such as fire, natural disasters, or medical incidents.

10. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on facility performance, maintenance activities, and budget expenditures for management review.

• Hospitality background preffered.

• Minimum 2+ years experience.

• A graduate degree is required for this role. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & Gmail

• Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Local Mumbai western suburb candidates preferred

• Work days will be 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday)
