Junior Manual Tester

Junior QA Engineer

We
are seeking an experienced Junior QA Engineer with 3+ years of
experience in the software industry to support testing activities, execute
test scripts, and learn quality engineering practices across the full software
development lifecycle. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in manual
testing, test automation support, and quality assurance basics.

This
role requires a proactive professional who can design and implement robust
testing frameworks, collaborate closely with development and product teams, and
ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key
Responsibilities

Test
Strategy & Planning

• Assist
  with requirement analysis and design discussions to understand
  testability and quality.
  
• Follow
  defined test strategies, test plans, and quality standards for
  applications and systems.
  
• Support
  testing efforts and provide input on testing scope for releases.
  

Manual
Testing

• Execute test
  cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
  
• Perform functional,
  regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing support.
  
• Document
  and track defects through the defect lifecycle.
  
• Validate
  fixes and ensure defects are properly resolved.
  

Automation
Testing

• Support
  the maintenance of automation test frameworks and scripts.
  
• Automate
  regression test suites to improve testing efficiency.
  
• Learn to
  integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  
• Continuously
  enhance test automation coverage.
  

Test
Execution & Quality Assurance

• Execute
  test cases across different environments and platforms.
  
• Perform end-to-end
  testing across the entire application lifecycle.
  
• Conduct API
  testing, data validation, and integration testing when required.
  
• Ensure
  traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
  

Collaboration
& Leadership

• Collaborate
  with team members, including developers and product managers.
  
• Support Agile
  ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  

Continuous
Improvement

• Participate
  in process improvements and quality enhancements.
  
• Follow
  best practices in test automation, test data management, and defect
  management.
  
• Contribute
  to the development of QA standards and methodologies.
  

Required
Qualifications

• 3+
  years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
  
• Hands-on
  experience in manual testing across SDLC/STLC.
  
• Hands-on
  experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
  
• Experience
  with test case design, defect tracking, and test management tools.
  
• Good
  understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  
• Strong
  analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Excellent
  communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  

Preferred
Technical Skills

• Experience
  with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
  
• Knowledge
  of programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or
  JavaScript.
  
• Experience
  with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).
  
• Familiarity
  with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
  
• Experience
  with performance or security testing is an added advantage.
  

Education

• Bachelor’s
  or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or
  related field.
