Junior Tekla Modeler

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Junior Tekla Modeler in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Our client is a reputed organization in the Structural Steel / Steel Detailing sector seeking skilled, motivated professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Create and update accurate 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures.
  
• Interpret structural and architectural drawings to ensure modeling accuracy.
  
• Assist with project setup, including environments, templates, and basic Tekla settings.
  
• Place structural members, grids, and standard connections according to project requirements.
  
• Perform self-reviews after each modeling activity to identify and correct discrepancies.
  
• Support the generation of drawings, reports, and material lists from Tekla models.
  
• Coordinate with senior modelers, detailers, and checkers to resolve modeling and detailing issues.
  
• Maintain proper numbering discipline and consistency throughout steel models.
  

Required Skills

1. Tekla Structures: Hands-on experience creating and modifying structural steel 3D models.
   
2. Structural Steel Modeling: Understanding of structural and miscellaneous steel components and modeling practices.
   
3. Australian Steel Detailing: Exposure to Australian steel detailing projects and associated project requirements.
   
4. Drawing Interpretation: Ability to accurately interpret structural and architectural drawings.
   
5. Quality & Model Consistency: Strong attention to detail, self-review practices, numbering discipline, and modeling accuracy.
   

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Tekla project environments, templates, and project setup.
  
• Experience generating drawings, reports, and material lists from Tekla models.
  
• Understanding of standard steel connections and coordination between modeling and detailing teams.
  

Work Experience Requirements

Candidates should have 2–4 years of experience using Tekla Structures, preferably involving structural steel and miscellaneous steel modeling. Exposure to Australian steel detailing projects is required, along with experience working from structural and architectural drawings.

Education

• Minimum: Typical — Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil or Structural Engineering
  
• Preferred: Typical — relevant Tekla Structures training or certification
