This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 300000 - Rs 500000 (ie INR 3-5 LPA)

We are looking for a driven and technically inclined Business Development Executive specializing in Pneumatics and Automation to support growth initiatives in Pune. This role is ideal for someone who combines an understanding of industrial systems with a passion for sales and client engagement. You will play a key role in expanding market reach by identifying new business opportunities, promoting automation solutions, and building strong customer relationships.

The position focuses on selling and positioning pneumatic and automation-based solutions to manufacturing and industrial clients. You will work closely with technical and engineering teams to understand product capabilities and align them with customer requirements. A strong emphasis is placed on leveraging emerging technologies such as machine learning and process automation to enhance solution offerings and drive value for clients.

As part of the business development function, you will be responsible for generating leads, conducting client meetings, delivering presentations, and supporting the complete sales cycle. This role requires a proactive mindset, technical curiosity, and the ability to communicate complex solutions in a clear and compelling manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in industrial automation and pneumatics
  • Promote and sell pneumatic systems, automation solutions, and process optimization services
  • Engage with clients to understand technical requirements and propose suitable solutions
  • Support the integration of machine learning and automation concepts into client offerings
  • Conduct product presentations, demos, and technical discussions with customers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to ensure accurate solution design and delivery
  • Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to closure
  • Track market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in automation
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and business reports
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue growth
  • Provide post-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Minimum 1+ year of experience in business development, sales, or technical sales
  • Basic understanding of pneumatics, industrial automation, or process automation
  • Exposure to machine learning or automation-driven solutions is an advantage
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to understand and explain technical concepts to clients
  • Proactive and target-driven mindset with a focus on results
  • Good relationship-building and client management skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Basic knowledge of industrial applications and manufacturing processes is a plus
