Job Description - Klaviyo Developer

Candidate Brief – Klaviyo Template Developer (with Django Logic) Role Overview We are looking for a technically strong candidate who can design and build dynamic Klaviyo email templates using Django-based logic. The ideal person will go beyond campaign execution and bring hands-on coding expertise in Klaviyo’s template language to enable personalization, automation, and API-driven workflows. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Build and maintain Klaviyo email templates with advanced logic (if/else, loops, filters). • Implement personalization and conditional rendering based on customer attributes, segmentation, and behaviors. • Integrate dynamic product recommendations and external data sources into templates. • Collaborate with marketing teams to optimize campaign execution and improve customer engagement. • Support API-driven personalization workflows (bonus). ________________________________________ Required Skills ✅ Hands-on Klaviyo template coding (must-have). ✅ Experience writing Django-style logic blocks in Klaviyo: • Conditional content (if/else) • Iterations/loops (product lists, recommendations) • Default/fallback handling ✅ Familiarity with API integrations to support personalization. ✅ Strong understanding of email marketing execution (segmentation, deliverability, automation). ________________________________________ Nice-to-Haves • Backend development exposure (Python, REST APIs). • Experience with other ESPs/CRMs (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, SendGrid, Mailchimp, etc.). • A/B testing, analytics, and optimization skills. ________________________________________ Screening Questions for Recruiters 1.
