Key Responsibilities
Employment Advisory Advise corporates on a broad spectrum of employment and labour law matters, including hiring, termination, workforce restructuring, employee mobility, workforce management, and HR policy issues.
Strategic & Transactional Support Provide employment law support on corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, business transfers, reorganisations, and restructuring exercises.
Documentation & Advisory Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, senior executive contracts, ESOP and incentive documentation, employee handbooks, HR policies, confidentiality and restrictive covenant arrangements, and separation-related documentation.
Regulatory & Compliance Advisory Advise clients on central and state labour laws, industrial relations, and employment-related regulatory matters from an advisory and risk-management perspective.
Dispute & Investigation Support Assist clients on employment disputes, internal inquiries, disciplinary proceedings, workplace misconduct matters, and internal investigations, where applicable.
Client Engagement Build and manage client relationships and deliver practical, commercially focused employment solutions aligned with business objectives.
Ideal Candidate
Significant hands-on experience in employment and labour law advisory within a law firm environment.
Strong exposure to employment advisory and transactional work; candidates with predominantly routine compliance-focused profiles may not be suitable.
Ability to independently lead matters and engage directly with clients and stakeholders at senior levels.
Demonstrated commercial awareness, solution-oriented thinking, and strong stakeholder management skills.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication abilities.
LL.B. from a recognised university.
What We Are Looking For
We are particularly interested in candidates who combine technical employment law expertise with strategic business understanding and the ability to contribute to the growth of a sophisticated Labour & Employment practice.
