Lathe Technician

Position: Lathe Technician (Rolling Mill)

Our client, an integrated steel plant in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, is seeking a skilled Lathe Technician to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of lathe machines in the Rolling Mill unit.

Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain lathe machines for efficient production
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues with lathe machines
• Set up and adjust machines to meet production requirements
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe workspace
• Manage inventory and order spare parts as needed
• Mentor junior technicians on lathe machine operation and maintenance

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent with expertise in operating lathe machines
• 3+ years of experience in a steel manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of lathe machine functions and ability to interpret technical drawings
• Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of safety standards
• Time management, organizational skills, and ability to work in challenging environments
• Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to dynamic production needs
