Who we are -

We are an offshore unit for US-based legal firms. We execute work from India on behalf of legal firms based in the USA. The legal firms based in the USA require various services that demand creativity, knowledge of US laws, and good drafting skills. Indian Lawyers are capable of reading and understanding US laws, and we possess a strong command of the English language.

What you can expect in a Legal assistant role at PKLPO -

• Profile – Non-Litigation.
• Drafting legal documents, cover letters, motions, writing pleading, demand letters to insurance companies.
• Does a variety of tasks to support lawyers, including maintaining and organizing files, conducting legal research, and drafting documents. Also gathers and arranges evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation. Works directly with clients in a non-advising capacity, such as answering questions, scheduling appointments and making sure all court requirements are met.
• Helps lawyers get ready for trials, hearings and other legal proceedings by doing research, drafting legal documents, interviewing witnesses and preparing exhibits. Also handles administrative tasks such as filing papers and maintaining and organizing reference files.
• Help lawyers prepare for court cases by conducting relevant research. Provides research that ties in with evidence presented, case law, and even the litigation process. Has detailed knowledge of various online legal research resources.

What are we looking in candidate at PKLPO -

• Super strong drafting skills. Creative drafting skills will be given priority.
• Ability to conduct legal research and analysis. That is a must. The applicant needs to be passionate about the case handed over to him/her. Research from all the perspectives and make the draft the most creative document.
• Entrepreneurial skills. We are a startup and looking to expand the staff count in a short time. We are looking for candidates who has entrepreneurial skills (go getter).

What you can expect in hiring process -

• I Round – Case Study Test (Drafting and Legal research on Indian Laws)
• II Round – Technical round based on Case Study and General legal technical skills.
• III Round - Final round from strategic business perspective

Other Information

• Full time job. No work from home (except for some days when required).
• Timings are from 9 AM to 6 PM. Monday to Saturday.
• Office location Stadium Crossroads, Navranpura Ahmedabad (250 meters from metro station).
• Compensation full time employment – INR 25,000 – 30,000 per month (in hand).
• Compensation Trainee – INR 10,000 per month.
• We have comprehensive training modules in the company. We will teach the required US laws.
