We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Assistant Vice President– Data and Analytics

In this role, you will:

• You will work closely with stakeholders and various functions within HSBC and Fraud to develop innovative and actionable models which help to manage fraud risk.


• Support the development and deployment of analytical strategies to manage and mitigate financial crime risk


• Develop new analytical practices in partnership with other Research & Analytics functions


• Interpret and manipulate large data set to extract trends and identify issues and risk


• Use data visualization techniques to present complex ideas and provide self-service analytics

To be successful, you will:

• Degree level educated (or relevant work experience) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or any other quantitative discipline


• Analytical techniques e.g. data mining and analysis, statistics, optimization


• Experience in following: SAS, Python, SQL


• Domain experience in financial crime (Fraud, Anti Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Sanctions)


• Strong analytical thought process and aptitude for creative problem solving
