Lead Backend Engineer (Platform & Reliability)

Experience: 5+ years

Compensation: ₹35–40 LPA fixed + 0.35% equity

We are looking for a hands -on Lead Backend Engineer to own and strengthen the core platform that powers our product.

This role focuses on platform reliability, performance, security, and scalability. You will ensure the system runs smoothly, securely, and efficiently while supporting real -world integrations and platform expansion.

You will work closely with the Data Engineering function to ensure seamless operation across services, data flows, and integrations.

• Maintain high platform uptime, reliability, and performance
  

• Optimize system performance and minimize latency
  

• Strengthen platform security and safe data handling practices
  

• Design and manage APIs and service interactions
  

• Improve operational clarity and system documentation
  

• Build and improve user onboarding and lifecycle workflows
  

• Support platform expansion through integrations and real -world use cases
  

• Manage authentication, access control, and system safety practices
  

• Monitor system health and proactively resolve operational issues
  

• Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure smooth system and data flow
  

• Improve system resilience, scalability, and operational stability
  

• Backend & APIs: Xano, Cloudflare Workers, Render, Javascript
  

• Internal tooling & UI: Retool
  

• Data & integrations: Nango, Cloudfare Workers
  

• Infrastructure: Cloudflare, R2, Railway, Render
  

• Data processing & ETL: JavaScript -based pipelines
  

• Platform uptime and reliability remain consistently high
  

• APIs perform quickly and reliably under load
  

• Security practices protect system integrity and user data
  

• Authentication and access control systems remain robust and safe
  

• Operational workflows operate smoothly in real -world environments
