Job Description - Lead BI Developer

POSITION SUMMARY

Lead BI Developer will lead the analysis, design, development, and support for reports, dashboards, scorecards, ETL packages, and other BI components specific to assigned projects - in alignment with existing defined architecture and development standards. Participates in project planning to ensure effective use of technology and/or business process to meet customers’ needs

PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conceptually strong in Relational databases (RDBMS) and SQL Server Database (SQL Server 2008 and above)

• Proven hands on practical experience on SQL Server Database

• Design database objects according to the functional requirements

• Ability to write/debug complex queries

• Performance tuning - SQL tuning and Database level tuning.

• Monitoring and analysis of SQL Server database and associated tools/scripts

• Good experience in Reporting and Dashboarding preferably using SSRS

• Good experience in creation of reports and dashboards using PowerBI

• Experience in Design and development of Stored Procedures and Views necessary to support SSRS reports

• Experience in creating complex SSIS packages with transaction handling and logging

• Experience in OLAP, especially using SSAS

• Good knowledge of Python

• Experience in leading Datamart projects

• Good Experience in Code Review and documentation

• Good Communication skills

• Builds strong relationship within the teams, stakeholders and other teams.

• Building strong relationship and acting as Team Player with colleagues and subordinates to maximize achievement of objectives on delivery time.

• Takes an innovative and creative role to deliver the task on time

• Keeps oneself up to date on latest development in his/her technical field work improvement.

• Willingness to take a lead in creative and multitasking role

• Punctual to deliver the tasks on time specified

• Manage and Mentor team members

• 5 -6 years of SQL Server experience in Product Based IT/Software organization
