Job Description \u2013 Business Analyst (CLM Deployment Programme)\n\nRole Overview\n\nThe Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in delivering the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) transformation by shaping requirements, analysing current\u2011state processes, designing target\u2011state workflows, and ensuring the successful deployment of a unified enterprise CLM platform (e.g., Sirion). The role works across Procurement, Legal, Finance, Commercial and Product teams to ensure that functional, data, contract, control, and integration requirements are fully understood, documented, and delivered.\n\n* * *\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n1\\. Requirements Discovery \u0026 Analysis\n\n * Lead structured discovery sessions (workshops, interviews, document reviews) with Procurement, Legal, Finance, Commercial and BT Sourced teams.\n * Translate CLM operating model needs into clear business requirements, epics, features, and testable user stories\u2014aligned with the programme workstreams (Vision \u0026 Strategy, TOM Design, Process Design) as outlined in the CLM SoW.\n * Analyse end\u2011to\u2011end contract lifecycle processes across buy\u2011 and sell\u2011side to identify gaps, pain points, and improvement opportunities.\n * Document current vs. target state processes including obligation management, SLA tracking, contract drafting, approvals, storage, and renewal flows.\n\n\n\n2\\. Process Mapping \u0026 Operating Model Design\n\n * Build detailed process maps, swimlanes, activity models, and business rules for CLM processes.\n * Support target operating model (TOM) design by working with strategy, architecture, and business owners.\n * Ensure alignment with enterprise policies, compliance, internal controls, and risk frameworks.\n\n\n\n3\\. Data, Controls \u0026 Integration Analysis\n\n * Analyse contract metadata structures, obligations, KPIs, SLAs, templates, and clause libraries required for the CLM platform.\n * Assess data readiness\u2014mapping data sources, lineage, quality, and migration requirements.\n * Work with architecture and platform teams to define integration needs with systems such as ERP, procurement tools, supplier management, and financial systems.\n * Ensure alignment with control and compliance requirements (e.g., obligation tracking, auditability, approval workflows).\n\n\n\n4\\. User Story Writing \u0026 Acceptance Criteria\n\n * Write high\u2011quality, testable user stories with clear acceptance criteria (using Gherkin where required). Drawing from the approach in\n * Define Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD).\n * Maintain traceability across epics \u2192 features \u2192 stories \u2192 test scenarios.\n\n\n\n5\\. Stakeholder \u0026 Cross\u2011Functional Collaboration\n\n * Engage with global stakeholders (Legal, Procurement, Finance, CX, Commercial, BT Sourced, Product, Engineering).\n * Support steering forums by preparing inputs, updates, and requirement summaries.\n * Ensure requirements from all impacted units (including Partner Management teams) are captured \u2014 as highlighted in CLM programme discussions. \n\n\n\n6\\. Testing, Validation \u0026 Deployment Support\n\n * Support SIT, UAT, data migration testing, and business readiness.\n * Validate process changes, integrations, and CLM workflows with SMEs.\n * Ensure final solution meets user needs, compliance standards, and business case outcomes.\n\n\n\n7\\. Change Management \u0026 Adoption\n\n * Prepare user guides, process documentation, SOPs, and supporting materials.\n * Contribute to training, communication, and stakeholder adoption activities.\n * Help drive standardisation and consistent usage of the CLM platform across markets and business units.\n\n\n\n* * *\n\nRequired Experience \u0026 Skills\n\nExperience\n\n * 8\u201310 years of Business Analysis experience in Procurement, Legal, Finance, or Digital Transformation.\n * Hands\u2011on experience in deploying CLM tools (Sirion, CLM, Ariba Contracts, or similar).\n * Strong background in process mapping, requirements management, and multi\u2011stakeholder environments.\n\n\n\nTechnical \u0026 Functional Skills\n\n * Deep understanding of buy\u2011side and sell\u2011side contract processes, obligation/SLA extraction, contract metadata, and approval workflows.\n * Strong analytical skills for data structures, migration, system interfaces, and validation.\n * Ability to convert business requirements into detailed functional stories.\n\n\n\nSoft Skills\n\n * Excellent facilitation, communication, and global stakeholder management skills.\n * Strong documentation, presentation, and storytelling ability for senior audiences.\n * Collaborative working style, high ownership, and adaptability in fast\u2011moving programmes.\n\n\n\n* * *\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Certifications: CBAP, CCBA, Lean Six Sigma, Agile/Scrum.\n * Experience in procurement transformation programmes or enterprise platform rollouts.\n * Familiarity with enterprise architecture, controls, and regulatory frameworks.\n\n\n
