Role Overview:
As the Lead Buyer – EMS Manufacturing (Sourcing & Development), you will lead sourcing and supplier development for key electronic systems such as PCBA, controllers, BMS, chargers, and electronic sub -assemblies for our EV platforms.
You will own the end -to -end sourcing lifecycle — from identifying capable suppliers and driving cost efficiency to ensuring readiness for new product launches. This role requires a strong blend of technical understanding, commercial negotiation, and supplier partnership development — ideal for someone who thrives in a fast -paced startup ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Sourcing Strategy & Execution
• Identify and develop EMS suppliers aligned with the company’s EV technology roadmap and localization goals.
• Drive sourcing decisions for PCBA, harnesses, power electronics, sensors, and control units.
• Formulate supplier strategies balancing cost, technology, and scalability.
• Build a robust local supplier base to improve speed, flexibility, and cost competitiveness.
2. Supplier Development
• Assess supplier capability, capacity, and technical competence through audits and evaluations.
• Partner with suppliers to strengthen process control, yield, and line automation.
• Lead supplier onboarding, APQP, and industrialization readiness.
3. Cost & Commercial Management
• Lead commercial negotiations and establish cost targets for EMS assemblies and key components.
• Conduct detailed cost breakdowns and drive VA/VE and cost -reduction initiatives.
• Develop long -term cost roadmaps based on technology and volume evolution.
4. New Product Development Support
• Work closely with design, quality, and program management teams during proto, pilot, and mass production stages.
• Ensure supplier readiness for NPIs, with timely PPAP and process validation.
• Coordinate sourcing timelines with project milestones to ensure on -time start of production.
5. Quality & Delivery Performance
• Ensure consistent supplier performance in quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
• Drive root cause analysis and improvement actions for supplier issues.
• Monitor and review supplier KPIs and performance dashboards.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
• B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
• 8–12 years in sourcing and supplier development, preferably in EMS / EV / automotive electronics.
• Strong understanding of PCBA manufacturing (SMT, wave soldering, testing, and reliability validation).
Core Competencies:
• Solid commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Experience in developing local EMS vendors from ground -up.
• Working knowledge of IATF / ISO quality systems and NPI processes.
• Strong project ownership and ability to work in an unstructured, fast -evolving environment.
• Collaborative mindset to work across engineering, quality, and supply chain functions.
