Job Description

Location- Gurgaon/ Noida

We invite you to bring your strong knowledge of Bentley software like MicroStation (2D & 3D), Open

Bridges, Open Buildings, Revit 3D, Tekla & Parametric modelling to play in the role of Lead Designer-

BIM as you coordinate with Engineers and other CAD technicians/BIM Modelers for technical delivery of

wide range of engineering drawings for projects of varying complexity. To succeed in this role, you must

have B. Tech (Civil) or Diploma in Civil Engineering and/or minimum 2 years NCVT Certificate in

Draughtsman Civil and have minimum 12 Years of working experience in Highway/Railway Bridges or

Metro Rail / Tunnel project and will be capable to work independently with very minimum guidance and

will be capable to lead and guide junior colleagues.

Position overview

Looking for an ideal candidate to perform a variety of Civil CAD production tasks using Bentley software

like MicroStation (2D & 3D), Tekla & Parametric modelling, Open Bridges, Open Buildings, Autodesk’s

AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and Revit 3D. As our new Lead Designer- BIM (L05) you will be part of a world

class, innovation driven Engineering Design Centre owned by an independent trust and its employees.

REC is a highly sophisticated center of engineering excellence and based in our India head office in

Gurgaon.

Working in partnership with our RDK offices globally, your key tasks and responsibilities will include, but

not limited to:

Apply and adhere to published CAD standards for engineering drawings to produce high quality

deliverables.

Maintain delivery and budget status of assigned tasks on team schedule.

Coordinate with engineers and other CAD team members for drafting and 3D modelling works of

each project task assigned.

Quality Assurance for technical correctness and timely delivery of the drawings & 3D models in

any drafting and modelling software

Assist the project team towards developing/implementing drafting standards.

Assist in improving the efficiency and productivity of the BIM team.

Assess, develop and implement the training and development plan for the BIM team.

Proper Communication with internal and external teams

Exercises self-discipline and work ethics

Desirable criteria:

B. Tech (Civil) or Diploma in Civil Engineering and/or minimum 2 years NCVT Certificate in

Draughtsman Civil with Minimum 12 years of professional working experience in

Highway/Railway Bridges or Metro Rail / Tunnel project

Working experience in different types of highway/railway bridge structurers (sub-structure &

superstructure) and/or Marine structures outline drawings and reinforcement detailing in

international projects is essential.

General knowledge of engineering principles and international bar shape codes.

Capable of recognizing conflicts and discrepancies with strong attention to details.

Good level of written and spoken English

Candidate having experience on international project will be preferred.

Working experience in BIM platform and ProjectWise will get preference.

Self-motivated, team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Flexible attitude, in an environment with frequently changing deadlines can be relied on to meet

deadlines.
