Role Description
Amtech is accelerating its product modernization and innovation journey across its ERP portfolio and customer-facing platforms.
We are looking for a Lead Engineer to spearhead the technical execution and modernization of our EnCore ERP platform, built on .NET and the WiseJ framework. This role blends hands-on development with strategic technical leadership, offering the opportunity to guide a team through complex engineering challenges while transitioning legacy systems to scalable, cloud-ready architecture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise software development
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Framework
- Deep expertise in SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, TCP/IP protocols, and ADO.NET
- Solid understanding of relational databases and client-server architecture
- Strong grasp of design patterns and software engineering principles
- Proven leadership in technical initiatives and mentoring teams
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with WiseJ or similar web forms frameworks
- Prior experience in ERP domain enterprise application development
- Familiarity with JavaScript, jQuery, and third-party toolsets (DevExpress, Xamarin, WiseJ)
- Exposure to application performance monitoring and logging strategies
- Understanding of unit testing practices
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment with global teams
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and microservices architecture
- Experience migrating legacy systems to modern frameworks
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
