Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Gasoline Engine Management System

• Understanding the functioning of a basic gasoline engine.


• Thorough knowledge of the Engine Management System and its components—sensors and actuators.


• Understanding of engine combustion parameters and optimization.


• Experience in engine steady state performance calibration (Air path, Fuel path, Ignition, Torque Model, Exhaust temperature model, Pressure models)


• VVT Selection and Optimization


• BSFC optimisation


• Insight into turbocharger and boost calibration


• Must be able to comprehend engine’s combustibility limits and component protection (turbocharger and catalytic converter)


• Must have complete knowledge on selection of catalytic converter for a given engine & vehicle platform


• Prior experience in vehicle emission calibration – Lambda control, purging of catalyst & canister purge


• Understanding Emission optimisation /Emission analyser


• Fuel economy optimisation on vehicle.


• Complete understanding and must be able to keep oneself up-to-date on Emission legislation Indian/global


• Knowledge on Vehicle features like ADAS, CRUISE, ESS, Remote engine start, engine/ terrain modes.


• Knowledge on gasoline hybrid architecture


• knowledge on Diagnostics, Trouble shooting,  OBD I and II


• Planning and taking part in Summer, Winter and Altitude  expedition


• Proficiency in INCA,MDA, ETAS Tools & dataset management


• Data analysis,  Strong Excel/Presentation skill/matlab/Programming

Experience

3-6 years - BE/B Tech (Mechanical / Automobile engineering) OR • 2-3 years - ME/M Tech (Mechanical / Automobile engineering)

Qualifications

• BE/B Tech (Mechanical  / Automobile engineering/ Mechatronics )


• ME/M Tech (Mechanical  / Automobile engineering/ Mechatronics )

General Requirements

• Collaboration with COE team, setting up meetings to understanding the problem and provide solution


• Knowledge on current automotive trends across globe.                                                                                                                        


• Managing the daily task of Engine /Vehicle level activities – Time management


• Managing Engine/Vehicle utilisation.


• Strong communication skill/Presentation skill.
