Lead Engineer - Industrial Engineering

## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Lead Engineer is a key contributor to manufacturing performance and operational excellence, providing advanced industrial engineering expertise to improve productivity, cost, quality, and safety. This role leads complex improvement initiatives, establishes scalable standards, and partners with plant leadership to drive data\u2011driven decision\u2011making. \nThe Lead Industrial Engineer is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, influence cross\u2011functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and support strategic manufacturing initiatives across one or multiple sites.\n\n * Lead plant\u2011level and cross\u2011plant industrial engineering initiatives to improve productivity, throughput, and cost performance\n * Establish, validate, and govern labor standards using engineered methods and data\u2011driven analysis\n * Drive line balancing, capacity modeling, and staffing optimization aligned to takt and demand variability\n * Lead complex process design, layout optimization, and material flow improvements\n * Own and deploy standard work, work measurement systems, and IE governance models\n * Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives (Kaizen events, VSM, SMED, pull systems)\n * Identify and resolve system\u2011level constraints and bottlenecks using structured problem\u2011solving methods\n * Utilize MES, ERP, and operational data to develop insights, dashboards, and executive\u2011level recommendations\n * Support new product introductions, major line expansions, and production ramp\u2011ups\n * Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS to improve safety, ergonomics, and product quality\n * Mentor and coach junior Industrial Engineers and support capability building\n * Present recommendations, trade\u2011offs, and business cases to plant and functional leadership \n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequirement:\n\n * Masters / Bachelors in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical or electrical engineering\n * Minimum 12+ years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n * Candidates having valid US Visa(B1/B2) will be an added advantage\n * Demonstrated expertise in work measurement, labor standards, and productivity systems\n * Strong experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles in production environments\n * Proven ability to lead cross\u2011functional improvement initiatives\n * Advanced data analysis skills (Excel required; Power BI, Minitab, or similar preferred)\n * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills\n * Ability to operate independently in a fast\u2011paced manufacturing environment\n * Team player, ability to get things done through teams effectively\n * Managerial courage - doesn\u2019t hold back that needs to be said; provides positive \u0026 corrective feedback\n * Business acumen - knows how business work; knowledgeable in current and possible future technologies\n * Excellent written and verbal communication skills\n * Position requires 40% travel ( both domestic \u0026 International ) \n\n\n
