Job Description - Lead Engineer - Technical HSE

Bachelor’s degree in chemical, Safety or any relevant Engineering. Work experience of 16-20 years in Fire Protection (AFP, F&G, PFP) Design for Oil & Gas/Petrochemical facilities-EPC, FEED, Proposal, Estimation and PMC projects and, preferably, Infrastructure development.

Work as part of the Technical HSE Project Team as a Lead and to manage the team of engineers and designers with specific responsibility for:

1. Active Fire Protection design (Specification, Equipment Layout, Hydraulics, Surge Analysis, Deluge Spray Arrangement, Procurement Works, 3D Model Review)

2. F&G System design (Specification, Detector Selection & Layout, Block Flow Diagram, Cause & Effect Diagram, Mapping Study)

3. Passive Fire Protection design (Specification, Identification of Fire Hazardous Equipment, Typical Details of PFP, PFP Layout, Recommendation of PFP Material)

4. Risk based Hazardous area classification, Escape route, participate and coordinate with Safety Studies Consultancy.

5. Capable of co-ordinating and conducting meetings with relevant parties like inter-disciplines, Client, third party contractors and vendors

6. A high standard of English language ability both written and spoken.

7. Ability to use the Microsoft Office in all aspects of daily work.

8. To review and monitor the progress of the team for completing all process engineering activities on time.

9. To be responsible for the successful training of the process members for achieving the organization's goal.

10. To play the pivotal role of managing and coordinating overseas engineering centres, client, and other groups/departments on one hand, and upholding team spirit and high ethical standard through clean governance, delegating tasks, and leading the team on the other hand

Requirements

• Deep understanding of API, EI, NFPA Codes and Standards

• Understanding of process such as refinery, gas processing, LNG, etc. and other fields of sustainable development projects

• Decision making skills based on holistic approach

• Knowledge of software: PIPENET (Standard module, Spray/Sprinkler and Transient module), PHAST, Navisworks, Detect 3D.

• Co-ordination with Consultant for the Safety Studies like HAZID, QRA, FERA, F&G Mapping Study, etc including participation HAZOP and SIL.
