Test Automation Engineer

Role Summary:

This role will support the creation, execution, and maintenance of automated test cases using the ACCELQ platform or any other automation tool. The engineer will focus on converting manual test cases into automation assets, running automation suites, and maintaining reusable components under the guidance of senior team members.

Responsibilities:

• Convert manual test cases into automated scripts in ACCELQ (UI, API, DB validations) or any other automation tool.


• Execute automation suites (smoke, regression, UAT) and report results.


• Parameterize test data for environment and persona-based variations.


• Maintain and update reusable modules, fixing broken scripts caused by UI /API / data changes.


• Support functional QA testers with automation runs and defect reproduction.


• Provide execution evidence and logs to QA leads, defect triage, or business stakeholders as needed.


• Capture and document ACCELQ automation processes and quick-reference guides.


• Collaborate with senior engineers for troubleshooting and improvements.

Must-Have Skills:

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience with ACCELQ test automation or any other automation tool.


• Ability to design and execute test cases in automation tool (UI + API).


• Knowledge of complex/large volume test data handling and parameterization in automation tool like AccelQ.


• Understanding of SDLC, test processes, and defect lifecycle.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Exposure to DB queries, PDF/file comparisons, and ACCELQ or similar tool validations.


• Familiarity with Jenkins or CI/CD for running automation packs.


• Basic knowledge of Insurance domain workflows (Policy, Billing, Claims).
