As a Node.js Backend Developer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling reliable backend systems and APIs that power modern applications. You will collaborate closely with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, high-performance, and scalable solutions, while contributing to architecture decisions and long-term platform stability in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and frameworks such as Express, NestJS, or Fastify.
• Design and implement RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Integrate backend services with SQL and NoSQL databases, external APIs, and third-party platforms.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Ensure application security, data protection, and compliance with relevant guidelines.
• Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability under high traffic.
• Work with cloud platforms and containerization technologies to support production-ready deployments.
• Implement automated testing strategies and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver features end to end.
• Monitor, debug, and resolve production issues using logging and monitoring tools.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and the Node.js runtime environment.
• Hands-on experience with backend frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or Fastify.
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, promises, and async/await patterns.
• Experience working with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra).
• Proven ability to build and consume RESTful APIs or GraphQL services.
• Familiarity with message queues, caching mechanisms, and distributed systems concepts.
• Good understanding of Git workflows and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
• Nice to have: experience with TypeScript, microservices and event-driven architectures, serverless platforms, container orchestration, or exposure to frontend frameworks for full-stack collaboration.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and clear communication skills.
