Job Description - Lead Global Mobility Operations

Job Description Summary

Responsible for managing payroll and tax operations of the global mobility program, in collaboration with key vendors (tax, immigration, relocation, payroll support vendors) to ensure compliant, accurate, and seamless end‑to‑end processes for mobile talent population

Job Description

Position Purpose:

Responsible for managing payroll and tax operations of the global mobility program, in collaboration with key vendors (tax, immigration, relocation, payroll support vendors) to ensure compliant, accurate, and seamless end‑to‑end processes for mobile talent population.

Your Key Responsibilities: 

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Payroll, Tax & Legal Compliance Oversight

  • Ensure accurate and timely capture and reporting of expatriate compensation and expenses in home and host payrolls.

  • Manage all activities related to the company’s tax equalization policy, including the validation of hypothetical tax deductions and the tracking and closing of tax equalization reconciliations and settlements

  • Manage year‑end tax processes, including the authorization of tax support for internationally mobile employees (International Assignees and International Transfers).

  • Validate compliance with immigration, tax, social security, and employment law through coordination with Tax, Legal, and external advisors.

  • Ensure timely filings, renewals, and statutory submissions through vendors and internal partners.

 Vendor Management

  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for global mobility vendors (tax providers, immigration partners, relocation vendors, and technology providers).

  • Oversee vendor SLAs, quality, compliance alignment, controls execution, and data accuracy.

  • Lead vendor performance evaluations, mitigate service issues, and manage contract/SoW reviews and updates.

  • Ensure timely and high‑quality data exchange between vendors and internal stakeholders.

  • Review vendor invoices and manage vendor spend

Governance, Controls & Risk Management

  • Own and perform required internal controls, including payroll validation controls, data reconciliation, access/authorization checks, and compliance tracking, as well as required financial controls and external legislative requirements (payroll, tax, immigration, social security)

  • Ensure robust documentation, audit readiness, traceability, and control effectiveness.

Data Management and Reporting

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of mobility-related data across internal P&O information systems, vendor platforms, and payroll systems.

  • Manage dashboards, KPIs, compliance trackers, and reporting requirements.

What you’ll bring to the role: 

Essential Requirements: 

                                                                  

·        8 years+ experience in assignment management

·        Experience in global mobility and/or tax consulting or prior experience with

vendor desirable.

·        Good understanding of global mobility trends and employment tax, as well

as experience in programs design and vendor management

·        Advanced knowledge of Global Mobility and vendor financial processes,

including corporate tax, transfer pricing and accounting

·        Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization

·        Strong consulting and partnering skills

·        Knowledge of broader Rewards topics (equity, pensions, annual

compensation cycle, benchmarking) is a plus.
