Lead Instructional Designer, Icertis Academy

You will be joining the thriving Icertis Academy team, which is dedicated to benefiting our partners, customers, employees, and enthusiasts. Icertis Academy also has a digital learning curriculum for functional, technical, and sales enablement training. 

This role requires someone very strong in analyzing learning needs to address the business requirements, develop the learning and curriculum strategy, and recommend fit-for-purpose learning aligned to business needs. The candidate should have strong exposure to instructional design fundamentals, project management, and a global learning environment.

• Collaborate with the global stakeholders to identify the business need and propose the learning solutions that best fit the needs and build trusted consulting relationships.
• Collaborate with SMEs and implementation teams to design storyboards aligned with learning objectives.
• Lead instructional design projects from concept to completion, managing timelines, collaborating with internal teams and vendors, and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Define instructional flow and structure of content to meet organizational goals.
• Evaluate existing training programs and make recommendations for improvement, ensuring alignment with business objectives and learner needs.
• Configure, create, and assemble existing or new content along with graphics to make the content engaging and relevant for target personas.
• Plan, design, develop, and manage content for various media.
• Convert use cases and examples to stories and scenarios to explain the concepts to the learners.
• Author scenario-based assessment and knowledge check questions and design learner interactions.
• Experience in working with Generative AI tools including audio/video generation.
• Create storyboards, generate and edit audio/video elements for quick video courses.
• Contribute to the development of design templates, guidelines, and best practices to improve the quality and drive the adoption of training courses.

Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of instructional design and eLearning.

• Bachelors/Masters in any subject/Diploma in Instructional Design or MA in Learning Sciences.
• Professional certifications in instructional design, eLearning, or related fields are a plus.
• 9-12 years of experience in the areas of instructional design, learning delivery, and instructional technology.
• 5+ years of proven expertise in executing successful corporate learning programs and strong knowledge of eLearning tools and technologies.
• Portfolio showcasing a variety of learning solutions, including video-based learning, eLearning courses, performance support material, and blended learning experiences.
• Strong communication skills – Written as well as Verbal.
• Expertise in storyboarding, writing effective copy, instructional text, scenarios, assessment questions, audio/video scripts, etc.
• Expertise in at least one niche area of learning – design/technology/experience/visual design.
• Expertise with Camtasia, Storyline, Captivate, or similar eLearning authoring tools.
• Experience in working with global teams, cultures, and industries.
• Self-starter who can work independently, establish priorities, and is a strong team player.
