Lead – Project Development (Land & Connectivity)

As Lead – Project Development (Land & Connectivity), you will play a pivotal role in turning ambitious energy goals into reality. You will drive land acquisition, secure grid connectivity, and bring renewable projects from concept to construction-ready stage. Your work directly powers India's clean energy future.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end project development for solar, wind, hybrid, and BESS projects across key Indian states.
- Identify, evaluate, and secure land parcels through greenfield development and portfolio acquisitions.
- Drive connectivity strategy by obtaining CTU/STU approvals aligned with business plans.
- Negotiate project acquisition agreements and co-development partnerships with developers and partners.
- Manage technical, financial, and legal due diligence with internal teams and external advisors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, landowners, and government authorities.
- Ensure full compliance with land laws, regulatory frameworks, and company ethics standards.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in renewable energy project development in India.
- Deep expertise in land acquisition processes, lease agreements, and permitting.
- Proven track record in securing grid connectivity approvals (CTU/STU).
- Experience working across states such as Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively and be based at project locations as required.
Location
Pune or Noida, India. This is an on-site role with extensive travel to project locations across multiple states.
