Required Educational Qualification: B.Tech / BE/ M.Tech / MCA with relevant experience

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Lead SDET to join our engineering team and drive quality at scale. In this role, you will architect and own test automation frameworks for our microservices-based platform, champion best practices across the engineering organization, and play a critical part in ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems. As Lead SDET you will:

1. Design, build, and maintain scalable API test automation frameworks for microservices architectures.


2. Author comprehensive test cases and test suites in Java using frameworks such as Rest Assured, Selenium, and Cucumber.


3. Collaborate with product and development teams in an Agile environment to embed quality throughout the SDLC.


4. Work with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Aerospike) and streaming platforms (Kafka) to validate data integrity end-to-end.


5. Conduct and oversee performance and load testing using JMeter or equivalent tools to ensure system scalability. Evaluate, adopt, and advocate for new testing frameworks and technologies as the product evolves.


6. Mentor and guide junior SDETs, setting standards for code quality and automation practices.


7. Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and monitor test health over time

Required Skills:

1. 4–7 years of experience in software testing and test automation, with a strong emphasis on API testing.


2. Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining API test automation frameworks at scale for microservices-based systems.


3. Proficiency in writing test cases in Java; hands-on experience with Rest Assured and Selenium.


4. Solid working knowledge of MySQL and MongoDB for database validation; familiarity with Kafka for event-driven testing.


5. Practical exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or equivalent frameworks.


6. Proven ability to rapidly learn and adopt new frameworks, tools, and technologies.


7. Strong experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams

Desired Skill

1. Exposure to testing machine learning or data science model pipelines in production or pre-production environments.


2. Hands-on experience evaluating or testing LLM-powered applications, including prompt testing, output validation, and safety benchmarking using tools such as LangSmith or OpenAI Evals.
