Your Impact

OpenText is the market leader in Enterprise Information Management platforms and applications. As a Software Engineer you will utilize your knowledge and experience to perform systems analysis, research, maintenance, troubleshooting and other programming activities. You become a member of one of our Agile-based project teams, focusing on product development. It is an exciting opportunity to design and implement solutions for enterprise level systems.  

What the role offers

• Lead one or more projects in the capacity of a Lead Engineer by interacting with all the project stakeholders and customers to gather the requirements, Develop and build.


• Excellent knowledge on opentext B2B platform(s) and integration activities involved.


• Define and evolve the architectural vision for our AI-powered supply chain analytics platform.


• Lead end-to-end technical design, including data ingestion, processing pipelines, analytics engines, and user-facing applications.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.


• Evaluate and integrate advanced AI/ML models to drive predictive analytics, optimization, and decision support.


• Mentoring and guiding the junior members of the team

• Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.


• Ability to work in deadline driven environment, and respond creatively to pressure.


• Excellent trouble-shooting skills.

What you need to succeed

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent/MCA/ equivalent


• 8-10 years relevant work experience

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years as lead.


• Experience in data-intensive or analytics-focused applications.


• Extensive expertise in full stack development
  
  
  
  • Front-End: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular.
  
  
  • API: RESTful API design, Microservices architecture, GraphQL.
  
  
  • Back-End: Java, Spring Boot, REST, Node.js
  
  
  • Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL), NoSQL (MongoDB)
  
  
  
  


• Good to have expertise
  
  
  
  • Designing and implementing data platforms using technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar.
  
  
  • Data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and distributed systems.
  
  
  
  


• AI & Automation: AI/ML concepts, Gen/Agentic AI, Integration of AI services, RAG, MCP.


• DevOps: Git, CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub Actions), Docker, Kubernetes


• Cloud: AWS, Azure, or GCP; Serverless & Infrastructure as Code


• Security: Secure coding, OAuth/JWT, compliance awareness


• Agile Tools: JIRA, Confluence; Scrum/Kanban practices

• Strong communication skills - verbal, written.
