Job Description - Lead Sourcing

â Oversee day -to -day operations of the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) to ensure efficient processing and segregation of recyclable materials.

â Monitor material receipt, sorting, baling, storage and dispatch activities to maximize operational efficiency and material recovery rates.

â Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards and company operating procedures across the facility.

â Supervise and coordinate the activities of operators, sorters, machine handlers and contract workforce.

â Conduct regular visits to communities and bulk waste generators to assess segregation practices and provide guidance for improvement.

â Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound material quantities, inventory levels and operational performance metrics.

â Implement quality control measures to ensure recovered materials meet required specifications and customer standards.

â Optimize manpower, equipment utilization and workflow processes to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.

â Coordinate with sourcing, procurement, logistics and sales teams to ensure seamless material flow and timely dispatches.

â Analyse operational data and prepare periodic reports on production, recovery rates, quality performance and operational costs.

â Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve facility performance and efficiency.

â Ensure proper housekeeping, waste management and workplace organization practices within the facility.

â Support the implementation of sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement programs to enhance material recovery and resource efficiency.

â Conduct training programs for facility staff on operational procedures, safety practices, quality standards and equipment handling.

â Manage vendor and service provider activities related to facility operations, maintenance and logistics support.

â Build strong relationships with Resident Welfare Associations, communities, institutions, commercial establishments and bulk waste generators. to promote responsible waste management practices.

â Plan and execute awareness campaigns, workshops, training programs and recycling drives activities to improve source segregation and recycling participation.

â Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop educational materials, presentations, and promotional campaigns.

Requirements

Qualification – Graduate/Post Graduate

Experience – 3+ years of experience in the waste management field.
