As a Lead Engineer – Testing & Validation at Maxwell, you will be responsible for the end-to-end verification and validation (V&V) of Maxwell’s automotive products, including BMS, Motor Controllers (MCU), IoT devices, TPMS, Chargers, and other electronic systems. The role covers validation of hardware, firmware, software, and mechanical aspects of the products.
You will be actively involved in the complete product development lifecycle, starting from customer requirements and DVP alignment through test strategy definition, test planning, test execution, issue tracking and final validation reporting.
The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing test plans and test strategies in accordance with applicable standards and methodologies, including:
ISO 26262 – Functional Safety
ASPICE – Automotive SPICE
IATF 16949 – Automotive Quality Management System
ISTQB – Software Testing Standards and Methodologies
DVP & Validation Strategy
Test Plan and Test Estimation
Test Cases and Test Procedures

Risk, Issue & Failure Analysis

Team Competency Development and Mentoring
Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience in Testing & Validation of automotive electronics, embedded systems, or EV products.
Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering (EE), or a related engineering discipline. Higher qualifications such as M.Tech/M.E. will be an added advantage.
Strong hands-on experience in automotive electronics testing, DVP&R, hardware/software validation, embedded systems, and system-level testing.
Proven experience in leading and mentoring Testing & Validation teams, including team building and recruitment.
Experience in defining testing strategies, resource requirements, test infrastructure, and validation processes.
Strong understanding of ISO 26262, ASPICE, IATF 16949, and ISTQB methodologies and their application in product development.
The ideal candidate should be a technically strong and experienced Testing & Validation professional with proven expertise in automotive electronics and EV products. The candidate should have strong ownership of V&V activities and the ability to independently drive testing from customer DVP alignment through final product validation and release.
The candidate should also demonstrate strong people leadership capabilities, including the ability to hire, build, mentor, and develop a high-performing T&V team while establishing robust testing processes and a culture of engineering excellence.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential for this role.
