Legal Associate

About the Role:

The Legal Associate will support Simeio’s Legal team in contract review lifecycle and provide guidance and assistance on a variety of other legal matters, including compliance, privacy, intellectual property, etc.  The Legal Associate will report to Simeio’s India Senior Legal Manager and will also have direct interaction with the General Counsel and other key business stakeholders.  This position is located in Simeio’s Bangalore office.  Simeio offers a hybrid work model.  


What You’ll Do:

• Maintain and update the contract lifecycle management software.
• Be responsible for contract compliance and tracking.
• Draft and review a wide range of commercial agreements and vendor agreements, such as master services agreements, IT agreements, consulting agreements, software license agreements, SAS agreements, contract labor agreements, property lease agreements, letters of intent, NDAs and other agreements as needed.
• Assist in company secretarial compliance.
• Prepare various reports on contract risk and legal team SLAs.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Support various legal projects to ensure company’s compliance with latest international laws.
• Review company policies, guidelines and initiatives from a legal perspective.
• Assist with the signing of documents and follow up for execution of documents.
• Coordinate with other departments for approvals and policy compliance.
• Contribute to process improvements ideas and actively participate in process improvement initiatives. Seek out opportunities for quicker turnaround time.

• LLB in any specialization/LLM preferred. 
• 0-2 years relevant experience, with some law firm experience. 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with demonstrated experience effectively working with and influencing senior-level and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent and professional command of the English language in a written and verbal capacity.
• Excellent organizational skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, operate with a high degree of accuracy with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities while respecting tight deadlines
• Proven ability to establish professional working relationships with colleagues and external clients.

• Possess excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, business judgment, and strategic thinking skills.
