Accountabilities:
The Legal Counsel will support global sales and professional services activities by providing practical, business-focused legal guidance and ensuring contracts align with regulatory and commercial requirements. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting and negotiating enterprise sales opportunities with global customers, technology partners, and large-scale organizations across multiple international markets.
- Reviewing, drafting, and processing contract variations while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and customer requirements.
- Maintaining and improving standard legal documentation, including customer terms and conditions, statements of work, contract templates, playbooks, and internal legal guidelines.
- Supporting governance processes related to professional services involvement throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Advising business teams on technology contracting, IT agreements, data protection, and privacy considerations for cross-border transactions.
- Acting as a trusted legal partner for commercial teams by providing clear and practical advice on contractual risks and opportunities.
- Coordinating with external legal advisors when local law expertise, filings, or dispute support is required.
- Helping improve legal processes, documentation standards, and operational efficiency across global business functions.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a qualified legal professional with strong experience in commercial technology agreements and the ability to operate effectively in a global business environment. Required qualifications and skills include:
- Qualified lawyer enrolled with the Bar Council of India or holding an equivalent recognized legal qualification.
- Strong knowledge of English and Welsh contract law, international commercial contracting principles, and technology-related agreements.
- Experience supporting B2B software, SaaS, technology, or enterprise commercial transactions from proposal stages through contract execution.
- Understanding of data protection, privacy requirements, and regulatory considerations relevant to technology and cross-border contracts.
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, practical guidance for sales and business stakeholders.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence working across different cultures and time zones.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with global teams and external partners.
