Job Title
Legal Officer – Contracts & Data Protection

Role Summary
Provide legal support across commercial contracting and data-protection compliance by reviewing, negotiating, and managing agreements and ensuring privacy obligations are properly embedded in ACE’s contractual framework.

Key Responsibilities

Review, draft, and negotiate NDAs, DPAs, Partnership Agreements, Relationship / Commercial Agreements, and RAS (Remittance-as-a-Service) Agreements.
Support vendor, partner, and third-party contracting relevant to ACE Money Transfer.
Apply approved templates, clauses, and negotiation standards; escalate complex risks to senior experts.

Review and implement data-protection provisions in contracts in line with GDPR / UK GDPR, including:
- Controller / processor role assessment
- Processor obligations and confidentiality requirements
- Security, breach notification, and cooperation clauses
- Cross-border data-transfer safeguards
- Data retention, deletion, and purpose-limitation clauses
Support consistency between DPAs, commercial agreements, and ACE’s internal privacy framework.

Maintain contracts using the CLM system, including tracking, approvals, renewals, and executed copies.
Support internal audits, regulatory inspections, and governance reviews by providing contract and DPA records.

Experience & Qualifications

2–3 years’ experience in commercial contracts and data-protection support.
Working knowledge of contract law and privacy-related contracting requirements.
Experience with CLM tool preferred; fintech or financial services exposure is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.

Additional training or certification in Data Protection / GDPR preferred.
Strong legal drafting, attention to detail, structured working style, commercial awareness, and ability to work under expert guidance
