Skills and Competencies

• Graduate/post-graduate degree in Applied Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Econometrics, Statistics, Finance, Physics, or Business preferred.


• 2-4 years of overall experience in financial modelling.


• Working knowledge of any of the programming/scripting technologies such as Python, VBA, C++, C#, MATLAB, R,


• Experience in structured finance and cash flow modelling a strong plus


• Working knowledge of Moody’s Structured Finance Workstation (SFW) strongly preferred


• Hard working, prudent, easy to work with, and willingness to learn new technologies

Education

• Master’s degree in finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematical Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities.

• Develop complex cash flow models using Moody’s proprietary software.


• Analyze complex legal documents to accurately interpret cash flow structures.


• Gain advanced knowledge of various structured finance deal structures.


• Implement policies and procedures for cash flow model development and establish analytical frameworks to confirm model accuracy.


• Collaborate effectively with rating analysts, the model verification team, and research groups.

About the team

Our Model Development team is responsible for models and scorecards used in the rating process. The successful candidate will join a growing CSS team that works to improve the quality and consistency of credit analysis and publish rating performance research.
