Skills and Competencies
• 8+ years of experience in operational risk management within a financial institution, with strong execution of RCSAs, control assessments, and first line of defense accountability
• Deep knowledge of operational risk frameworks, controls design and testing, and effective partnership with Internal Audit, Compliance, and 2nd Line Risk
• Hands-on experience across the AI solution lifecycle, working closely with data science, technology, and product teams
• Strong expertise in AI model governance and Responsible AI risk management, including validation, transparency, explainability, privacy, bias, and third-party risk
• Proven ability to translate AI and technology risks into clear business impact and influence senior stakeholders
• Hands-on experience with Power BI dashboard maintenance and development, including DAX and advanced functionality


Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business, Technology, or a related discipline. Relevant professional certifications are preferred


Responsibilities
• Drive and oversee implementation of the R&R Risk Management Strategy and Framework, including governance over AI-enabled processes and tools
• Lead Risk & Control Self-Assessments across R&R, including technology and AI/GenAI use cases, and report results to senior leadership and Risk Committees
• Own the quarterly RCSA refresh, ensuring controls are mapped to AI-related risks such as model error, bias, explainability, and data lineage
• Establish and maintain an effective issues and events management framework with strong root-cause remediation
• Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators, including AI adoption and model risk indicators, and track remediation outcomes
• Enhance risk data capture and reporting, including AI governance reporting and opportunities for automation
• Promote a strong risk awareness culture with emphasis on Responsible AI and front-line accountability
• Act as a liaison with Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, and Internal Audit, ensuring audit-ready documentation
• Maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards to support R&R leadership reporting

The role sits within the R&R Risk team, which supports the operationalization of Moody’s Investors Service Risk Management Strategy across Ratings and Research. By joining us, you will be part of the team that partners closely with stakeholders to modernize processes using technology, data, and AI-enabled capabilities while fostering a metrics-driven risk culture.
