Role Overview

We are seeking a Licensing & Regulatory Lead to join our dynamic team. The role will be responsible for driving our global licensing strategy and regulatory compliance initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance for our FX and crypto operations. This role is crucial for enabling our global expansion while maintaining strong relationships with regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities: 

Global Licensing & Strategy

Develop and execute a comprehensive licensing strategy across global markets.Lead the preparation and submission of license applications across various jurisdictions, including MSB, MTL, and crypto-specific licenses.

Regulatory Compliance & Operations

Design and implement robust regulatory compliance programs aligned with diverse jurisdictional requirements.Create, maintain, and oversee the organization's regulatory policies and procedures.Manage all regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

Risk Management

Conduct thorough regulatory risk assessments for new products and markets.Develop and implement effective strategies to mitigate identified regulatory risks.

Stakeholder Management & Advisory

Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, building and maintaining strong relationships.Act as an internal advisor, providing guidance to business and product teams on regulatory implications and requirements.

Team Leadership

Build, manage, and mentor the regulatory affairs team as the company scales its operations into new markets.

What we are looking for

Must-haves:

A law degree or equivalent professional qualification.8+ years of experience in regulatory compliance within financial services or fintech.Strong, demonstrable knowledge of global financial regulations, particularly in FX and cryptocurrency.Direct experience in successfully obtaining and maintaining financial services licenses across multiple international jurisdictions.Deep understanding of AML/KYC frameworks and financial crime prevention.

What helps you stand out:

Significant experience with the crypto/blockchain regulatory landscape.A proven track record of successful license applications and securing regulatory approvals.Experience working directly with major regulatory bodies such as the RBI, SEC, FCA, MAS, etc.Exceptional project management, communication, and negotiation skills.
