You\u2019ll work closely with hardware, firmware, application, and customer teams while building strong system\u2011level expertise.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. \n \n\u2022 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. \n\u2022 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.\n\nExp: 1 to 3 yr\n\nLoc: HYD\n\nTittle: Engineer\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Support Linux bring\u2011up and validation on new hardware\n\n * Assist with kernel configuration, device trees, and drivers\n\n * Debug boot, performance, memory, power, and stability issues\n\n * Troubleshoot storage, networking, USB, PCIe, display, and audio\n\n * Optimize boot time, CPU, memory, and I/O performance\n\n * Work with Yocto, Buildroot, Debian/Ubuntu, or Fedora builds\n\n * Contribute to automation using Shell or Python\n\n * Collaborate across teams and participate in code reviews\n\n\n\n\nRequirements\n\n * Strong Linux fundamentals and OS internals\n\n * Hands\u2011on kernel configuration and basic debugging experience\n\n * Familiarity with device drivers and Linux boot flow (GRUB/U\u2011Boot)\n\n * Proficiency in C/C++ and Shell scripting\n\n * Experience with Git; Docker/KVM is a plus\n\n\n\n\nNice to Have\n\n * Embedded Linux or ARM experience\n\n * Basic secure boot or SELinux knowledge\n\n\n\n\nApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
