  • Motor Control Unit:

  • Design motor controllers for BLDC, PMSM, and induction motors used in electric powertrains.

  • Develop inverter power stages, including 2-level, 3-level, and multilevel topologies with MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC/GaN devices.

  • Optimize gate driver circuits, dead-time control, and protection mechanisms for reliable and efficient switching.

  • Implement DC-link capacitor selection, busbar design, and snubber circuits to enhance system performance.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), EMI/EMC standards, and automotive-grade reliability requirements.

  • DC-DC Converter:

  • Design and optimize isolated and non-isolated DC-DC converters (buck, boost, flyback, forward, LLC resonant, etc.) for EV auxiliary power supplies and high- voltage power distribution.

  • Select and implement high-efficiency power semiconductor devices (MOSFETs, GaN, SiC), magnetics, and control ICs.

  • Perform stability analysis, transient response testing, and loop compensation design for closed-loop converters.

  • Ensure high power density, efficiency optimization, and EMI/EMC mitigation.

  • Design multi-layer PCBs for power electronics applications, ensuring optimized trace routing, creepage/clearance compliance, and thermal dissipation.

  • Work closely with PCB layout engineers to integrate power and control circuits, ensuring minimal parasitics and optimal switching performance.

  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers for enclosure design, thermal simulation, and system integration.

  • Conduct worst-case circuit analysis (WCCA), Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Hardware Safety Analysis.

  • Develop hardware prototypes and conduct rigorous performance testing, thermal analysis, and efficiency characterization.

  • Utilize oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, thermal cameras, and high-voltage test equipment for debugging and validation.

  • Perform power stage simulations using LTSpice, PLECS, PSIM, MATLAB/Simulink, or Ansys Maxwell.
