Job Description - M1 - Manager

Team Manager – Investment Banking Reconciliation

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead reconciliation teams across multiple functions including FOBO reconciliation, MF reconciliation, cash, trade, position, and nostro reconciliations.
  • Ensure operational excellence, quality, control compliance, and SLA adherence across all reconciliation activities.
  • Provide strategic oversight on break management, exception reporting, aged items, and operational risk mitigation.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across front office, operations, finance, technology, risk, audit, custodians, and fund administrators.
  • Drive transformation initiatives including automation, process redesign, migrations, and productivity improvement.
  • Ensure robust governance and control framework for FOBO and MF reconciliation processes.
  • Review team capacity, resourcing, and productivity metrics to optimize delivery.
  • Lead audit responses, control reviews, and remediation planning.
  • Develop team leads, managers, and analysts through coaching and performance management.
  • Present operational updates, risks, and improvement initiatives to senior leadership and clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or related field; postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • 8–12+ years of experience in investment banking/financial operations reconciliations.
  • Strong expertise in FOBO reconciliation, MF reconciliation, and broader investment banking reconciliation operations.
  • Proven leadership in managing teams, stakeholders, controls, and transformation programs.
  • Strong governance, audit, risk management, and operational oversight capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, people management, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with reconciliation tools and automation platforms preferred.
  • Experience in IntelliMatch is an added advantage.

  • Knowledge of control framework, audit readiness, and risk mitigation
  • Proficiency in Excel and reconciliation/reporting tools
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management
  • Experience with IntelliMatch preferred however, TLM is also fine
