Position: Machine Shop Supervisor

Location: Kondhapuri

Your contributions to organisation's growth:

• Guide the operators in the following aspects:

• 
  
  
  
  • Selection of proper cutting tools.
  
  
  • Optimum cutting parameters.
  
  
  • Correct drawing reading and operation sequence.
  
  
  • Calculations wherever necessary.
  
  
  
  

• Load chart update / review as per lean requirements


• Effective shop floor supervision. Manpower & Machine Balancing / Changes / Absenteeism management


• Program, operate and guide the CNC operators for working on CNC machine & conventional machines.


• Contribute to jigs and fixture development for component on CNC & other machines.


• Quality and productivity improvement. Process Trouble shooting, Coordination with ME, Maint.


• CNC part programming when required


• Supervise daily production activities. Daily Part Subcontracting Challan, PO coordination.


• Multi-skill and train the operators, new joiners & APP


• Provide technical input to operators for carrying out the required activities


• CAPA & Why-Why review and action updates. FPY review and Action updates


• Maintain discipline and housekeeping on shopfloor


• OEE, Hrs. Booking, Routing changes,


• Maintain & adhere QMS & procedures.


• PAW timelines review and machine loading planning. ProjectWise Part status updates on Review Board.


• Prod Ord creation, release, routing verification, Posting, documentation


• Coordination with OM, Store, SCM for Raw material issues, shortage and review.


• Develop continuous improvement culture through kaizens.


• Drive SQDIP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity) performance in the machine shop and ensure daily tracking and improvement.


• Lead and implement Safety Improvement initiatives, including:

  • Hazard identification and risk assessment
  
  
  • Near-miss reporting and corrective actions
  
  
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards (PPE, SOPs, audits)
  
  
  
  

Education/ experience / languages:

• BE with 4-5 years' experience/DME with 7-8 years' experience in manufacturing dept.


• Knowledge of NC programming on Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol.


• Knowledge of Engineering Drawing, GD&T, Inspection methods, Measurement equipment.


• Knowledge of EMS, QMS & OHSAS, TPM, 5S, Safety Audits, Lean Tools and Industry 4.0


• Working knowledge of English


• Local language mandatory

Special requirements:

• Knowledge of SAP, MES


• Exposure to Lean tools/Industry 4.0 and OEE dashboards


• In depth Knowledge CNC Programming


• Mastercam / NX knowledge is an advantage
