We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer with expertise in refrigeration, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance. This role is critical for ensuring the reliable operation and upkeep of all machinery, refrigeration units, and electrical systems in a frozen food production environment. The ideal candidate will drive operational efficiency by minimizing downtime, ensuring safety compliance, and optimizing system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Refrigeration Maintenance:

• Manage day-to-day operation and maintenance of refrigeration systems including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and cold storage units
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure all systems meet required temperature and energy efficiency standards
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration issues, adhering to all safety and environmental regulations
• Handle refrigerants in compliance with industry standards

Electrical Maintenance:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all plant electrical equipment including motors, wiring, lighting, and control panels
• Perform diagnostics and repairs on power distribution systems and generators
• Support electrical installations, system upgrades, and modifications
• Ensure all electrical components function safely and efficiently

Preventive Maintenance (PM):

• Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for refrigeration, electrical, and production machinery
• Conduct routine inspections and document maintenance activities
• Identify recurring faults through analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime

Safety & Compliance:

• Follow safety standards and regulatory guidelines including OSHA and local codes
• Ensure equipment compliance with food safety and environmental regulations
• Train junior staff on safe equipment handling and maintenance procedures

Technical & Emergency Support:

• Provide technical support to production teams for electrical and refrigeration systems
• Respond swiftly to breakdowns, performing corrective and preventive actions to restore operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance equipment performance and system reliability

Inventory & Resource Management:

• Monitor and manage spare parts inventory for critical systems
• Maintain proper storage and condition of tools, equipment, and materials

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
• Certifications in refrigeration systems, electrical safety, or industrial maintenance preferred
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with refrigeration and electrical systems in a manufacturing or cold storage environment
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and industry safety standards
